When we are on location with everything shut down a noise will come from under the dash area on the drivers side. It will last for about 10 seconds or so and sounds like a small compressor running. About the time you hear it and start to look for the source it will stop running.

Anyone know what is is?

It could be your electric fuel pump. Mine does this, but only about 4-5 seconds. My MH also has an "Autopark" emegency brake that you hear the compressor run for 5 seconds or so when taken out of gear. I would guess it's your fuel pump.

I think it is the vacume pump for the heater controls. try playing with the heater controlls when the key is on and see if that makes it make the noise

I'm thinking maybe it's the buildup for the power steering/brake booster that will continue to operate for a bit without engine power.
