Norcold 1200 LRIM Freezer cold, fridge not cooling

We are getting ready to leave on a short shake-down trip with our new to us MH and turned the fridge on approx two hours ago at setting 8. Freezer is cold, but refer area does not seem to be cooling at all. Any hints? Thanks.

It will take a lot longer than that. Don't give up hope and try not to keep opening the door. That will make it take a lot longer as well.

Absorption refrigerators take much longer to get cold. Most people start the ref. a day before leaving and precool everything going in it.

Check the booster fan at the top of the refrigerator vent. If your unit has a fan it could have failed however those fans are controlled by a snap disc switch. That switch is located with in eight inches or so from the fan. In my case the switch failed but the fan was ok. The usual result of a failed fan is cooling in the freezer but not in the frig. Good luck.
