Norcold 1210IM Control Panel Buggy

Recently the control panel on this Norcold 1210IM fridge seem to be buggy. When pressing the Set Temp button, it shows the numbers but then will show the Mode. The same thing happens when pressing the Mode button. It seems to jump all over the place and makes it difficult to set the temp and mode correctly. I'm hoping that maybe the button contacts are dirty, but don't know how to clean them. I'd like to avoid a service call. Anyone else experience this problem or know how to fix it?

I know this sounds crazy, try not pushing as hard. Membrane (SP?) keypads can be sensitive to too much pressure. However I agree, it sounds like the panel is "Going South".

I've tried that before and it didn't work, but thanks.

There isn't much repair that can be done with those. I suspect it is time for a replacement control panel. I think it comes as a unit, rather than a button pad + board, but not sure.
Best I can think of is to take it apart, clean everything (especially contacts and wire connections) and re-try, but I would not be optimistic.
