Norcold 6162 problems

I just bought a used 1993 travel trailer with a norcold frig/freezer combo. It works fine on ac and propane while plugged in to 120v shore line but will not work on propane off of house battery. I tested out the 12v power with a multimeter and have 12.3 volts while not plugged in. I'm not sure where to even start. Thanks for any suggestions Brandon

Hi Brandon, welcome to IRV2.

*Where did you measure 12.3 volts? At the battery?

*Did you remove the outside vent to gain access to the back of the refrig and check the voltage at the 12v terminal block on the back of the refrigerator? (Terminals J3 and J4)

*Does the on/off switch work?
*Does the light come on when you open the door?

Here is a wiring diagram for your unit to locate the 12v terminal block, and other items while troubleshooting:

I measured the12.3 volts at J3 and J4. There is no light in the refrigerator on this model. It turns on and off fine when the shore line is plugged in and the converter is on. With the main camper shore line plugged in and the converter on I can unplug the 110 fridge plug in the back vent and it switches fine on auto between ac and propane but when I unplug the camper the frige loses all power

Ok, while on house battery only (not plugged in):
Did you measure the voltage while the refrig is turned on?
Will the interior light come on?
If so, what is the voltage at J3/J4 while the unit is on and the door is open (interior light on)?
