How many different models did National RV have? And in what order from least expensive to most expensive. Also which were gas and which were diesel coaches.

What sold you on purchasing a National RV coach?

For those of you who had the opportunity to tour the National RV factory, what impressed you the most, and seemed to separate the National RV line from other manufactures?

Thank you,

You can find the line up here, National RV Archives The models made some changes in certain years from gas to diesel within the same name.

The first thing I liked about National products was the noticable quality inside. Without even opening a door you could see the difference from other MHs. The setup of cabinets and furniture was very well thought out. The storage space inside was much better than other units we looked at. I went to the National website and read the specifications. Some of the difference are, steel framing in the walls, solid foam insulation, vacuum construction of the outter and inner walls, dual pane windows, fiberglass roof, huge basement storage with large access doors the list goes on and on. One of the other main reason we purchsed a Dolphin was the Workhorse chassis which has the GM 8.1 engine, allison transmission and 22.5" wheels.
We have owned our Dolphin 3 years and have put on 25,000 miles using it part time. We are very pleased with the Dolphin and the quality that went into the National products. I toured the factory about a year before it closed and enjoyed seeing how the mhs went together. I would recomend National to anyone .
Hope this helps.

We bought ours in 2006. We were attracted to the great exterior paint finish, the cummins engine and the open and light interior. Ours had 23K miles on it, but when we first walked into it, we thought it was new. We have had zero problems even after being full-time for over 2 years.

We took a tour of National RV and Fleetwood. We were more impressed with National RV. At the time, National was still in business and they did all of our warranty work at their facility. Fleetwood did not want to see a motorhome once it left their factory.....use the dealer only. We felt that we were getting a motorhome worth muchm more that we paid. Our sticker was $137,000 but it compaired to other motorhomes in the $200,000 range. We found a Winibago we liked but even after all the discounts, it was still more than the Dolphin sticker (we paid $104,000 out the door). We love the Dolphin and get a lot of complements on it.

We're on our second National RV, a 2005 Seabreeze. We have been pleased with both motorhomes. Took the factory tour 3 times, and also were impressed with quality of construction. The fact that National is out of business would not prevent us from buying another one.

We love our 2004 Seabreeze LX--Well constructed with a lot of good interior quality. Solid steel frame on a WH W-22 chassis.

We bought our Dolphin used, and were impressed with the unique side-kitchen interior layout and with the quality as well. Even though it was over ten years old, it drove better, had nicer interior materials, and was quieter than some new Winnebagos.

I'm not sure about National's lineup, other than to recognize other Nationals on the road (you can tell by the mirrors and end caps!)--Dolphin and Sea Breeze seem to be the most common, and I think both were available with gas or diesel.
