opening rear slide when gears are stripped

My question is HOW??? I can get it to move with the ratchet wrench on the section with teeth intact, but when stripped it is a real PIA...and I am lacking about 8 inches of getting the slide completely extended...How/what is the method to moving it when this is the case...the old 05 Dolphin rear bedroom slide problem

First, are you sure it's the teeth stripped? I have one Rack & Pinion slide (Is it a rack & Pinion slide?) that likes to snap shear pins, IN fact I buy 'em by the dozen just to have 'em on hand now days. (I am not kidding)

If it's rack and pinion you can pull a clutch pin wack the pinion gear shaft with a hammer and the gear will move aside. Now it's get 4 strong men and push/pull to move the slide

NOTE: I do not suggest this, and I do not do it.. though I will put the slide out part way and release the gear in order to replace the (*#^$(@&# Shear bolt.
