Painting/Dying Awning

I recently bought a 2001 Dolphin that has a new paint job. The color is champagne and it looks great.
The problem is the awnings are still in great shape but they are the original blue and white color.
Has anyone ever painted/dyed their awnings? I have read a little about it and it seems possible. It seems like such a waste to replace them just because they don't match the color of the coach, but they do look bad.
Anyone have any Ideas?

I've looked into this myself due to my awning not really matching my trailer.
And guess what?
Sounds like you have the color I wish I had!
Except I have the old vertical awning stripe, and I'm guessing yours is one of the horizontal fade-stripe awnings.
I have a little experience with vinyl dying, but on more stationary stuff like seats...
I'm not sure how well aftermarket vinyl paints would hold up under the flexing/rolling of an awning,though.
There's also the issue of expense- vinyl paint is pretty spendy, and depending what color you're trying to achieve it could be more expensive than just buying the new awning fabric!

I am leaning towards buying new awnings, I was hoping someone would say “I dyed my awnings, it was so easy and they turned out great” but it seems like replacing them looks more like the way to go.
I want to spend the least amount as possible for new awnings while still getting awnings that are as good as the ones I currently have.

Anyone have any suggestions?

There are lots of online outfits selling the fabric.
My best money-saver advice would be to do the changeout yourself.
It's easier than it looks.

If the old fabric is any good, you can probably sell it and get back some of the "new" cost...
