Palisades Carpet replacement

Any experience with changing the carpet in a Palisades 5th wheel? I have found wet carpet after serious rains and need to pull the old carpet. But it seems like the interior wall was built on top of the carpet? Am I going to have to cut the wall base out to remove all of the wet and rotted carpet?

I am worried about dry rot establishing in the flooring.

NEXT (and most important) QUESTION: WHERE IS THE WATER COMING FROM? Do the windows eventually leak and need recalling??

You will have to cut the carpet back off the wall some and pull on it some to see if it's just stapled around the edges if the wall are on it then yes it will need to be cut. As for the second question you did not say where it's wet at, is it by the slides, windows, doors make sure it's not coming from up top also.
