Peeling paint

2006 Dolphin - sides of the top paint is peeling - shops want to sand and repaint for over $1000.00 - any ideas

The paint may still be good and only the clear coat needs to be sanded and replaced.
I had decals removed and a partial custom paint done for $7,500 earlier this year on my RV.
Recommend you get a second opinion and compare warrantees.
