My 2005 TropiCal has a plastic panel in the underside of the overhead, directly beneath the TV. It appears to be a snap out, removable panel the would give access to the rear of the tv. I don't want to force it. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how it comes out?

Can't say---but have you looked in adjoining cabinets to see if there are screws holding it?----when I replaced my TV with a flat screen I found a situation like that. 03 Dolphin LX. Another thought sometimes it is difficult to see the back if you are over the dash----maybe screws in the back not visable and the front has tabs?

My TV had a plastic bezel all the way around and the plastic is pretty tough. If you pry a little and it does not pull away in one or two specific spots you know that is where it is anchored and you can look more directly for the how?

A picture might help--if we could see what you see.

Just thinking out loud.

The panel under the TV has no screws in it. It is a tight fit but it will come out using a big screw driver and a putty knife to pry it out from the tabs.

Take a screw driver and pry the center down and the tabs on the sides will come out. If you still have the tube TV it won't let you get to the back of the TV.

Thanks Guys! I'll give it a shot with the Screwdriver and putty knife. The previous owner had just replaced the tube TV with an LCD, but the surround sound isn't hooked back up. I bought a Blue-Ray player and a new Sony Receiver that I'm anxious to hook up.

Thanksfor your suggestions. I tried the big screwdriver and putty knife and got it out. Tough job! I put it back in yesterday, and haven't yet figured out which way is the toughest .

I've popped my panel out a few times, to swap apeakers and to mount a wireless amp. It is flexible enough that I don't need to use any tools.......
