Power Gear Leveling Jacks

Been through all the reset procedures from the Power Gear instructions, and the LED display will not reset. All the jacks are up but the system thinks they are broke?? Any thoughts about driving 100 miles with the LED flashing (remember jacks are up, that is easy to see) to get service or will it damage the system even more.

My next coach will not have a power gear system with its convoluted reset procedures.

An email to
Power gear will get you the best answer. They may also talk you through the reset process. They have for me. If you email them today , you'll have a response early tomorrow morning. They are quick to respond and they will call you if need be to walk you through this. Their address info@powergearus.com

Good luck

1) check the circuit breaker on your 12v fuse panel.
2) check the fluid level in your jack hydraulic res as that will cause your lights to blink and the alarm to sound.. (make sure the jacks are up before that's done tho)

Turn the red 12V switch off/on on the convenience panel near the door, that will recycle the power to the control unit and should clear the alarm.

Mine was a bad sensor in the resevor tank. I had to unplug it until I replaced it. Very easy to do!

IF jacks are up:

Remove panel (Screws and panel comes out towards you)

Remove electrical connector from REAR of panel

Attach string to electrical cord so it does not get lost

With String either tied to something near or hanging out of the hole the panel fits in replace panel.

No more flashing LED's..... No more jacks either till panel is replaced.

That is an on and off problem with our 2008 Pacifica...i have not flushed and re-fill the Hyd-Fluid yet, but did top it off. Now the alarm very rarely goes off,,and it always went off before..i had to pull the fuse between trips.

Lube the jack zerks, and wipe the hydraulic rams with clear dry silicone. It helped us alot.

There is very little tolerance in my jack system for low fluid. Just a couple of ounces down and the alarm starts. I get an early warning to add fluid if the alarm sounds when I make a sharp right turn.

power gear levelers not working

I have a seaview 8310 and my jacks will not work? they will not go down?

I push the power jack button and the green light comes on but when I
push the right front jack or left front jack nothing happens? I even
tried it by starting the motor up and still the jacks wont work? is there
a reset button that I have to push? never had a problem before until
I drained the fluid and refilled it? I probably should have never drained
the fluid and just have left it alone. I thought that I should change the
fluid since it has never been changed since I have owned the coach for
about the last five years. when I drained the fluid it looked very clean and
I went ahead and put new fluid in. ever since I have been having problems. right after I changed the fluid the jacks down light stayed on and
would not go out. I finally got it to go out after playing with it for a
couple of days?

anyway I cannot lower my jacks and it is very frustrating? how do I reset
them? any help would be greatly appreciated.

i've got a 8341 model Seaview so i'll add a few suggestions.

1st---do you have the parking brake on, jacks will not go down without it.

2nd---do you have the HOUSE batteries switch on?

jacks won't work without these 2 items.

if you drained & filled reservoir, this needs to be done when jacks are retracted (UP). be sure you filled tank to proper fill line--alarm will stay on if not at correct level. may also need to bleed air from lines. fully extending jacks will sometimes bleed lines. I don't recommend raising rv, I've got an edge to my driveway where they can be fully extended without raising rv off the ground.

your sensor in tank may be going bad---replaced mine 2 years ago when alarm stayed on.

3rd do you hear jack motor trying to extend jacks? never had a problem yet so I can't help you with fuses or wiring.
