Powergear Control Replacement

I have received the 1010001131 "kit" from Powergear to replace my 500210 control on our 1998 Tradewinds 7370. Has anyone done this job themselves? I understand the rewire required at the pump, but where does the harness go from there? It seems the other end of the harness ends near the inverter on the other side of the coach. So am I correct that I will need to run the new wire from the pump to the inverter area to meet the new harness that has to be strung back from the drivers control area where the new control is installed in the original dash location.

I don't think you need to run a new wire to the inverter. Link below

Update on the Problem - Does anyone know where the 7or8 wire harness that runs from the Powergear Control Module terminates in the rear of the coach? It has a single 7 or 8 wire connector on each end, one for the control module and the other goes ????? It does not go directly to the pump and solenoids.

The service department has performed this changeover on different coach, so they should be able to perform the upgrade once we know where to look. The Motorhome Service Manager has spoken with Power Gear tech line and they are no help as they are not familiar with the National installation.

Secondary complication is since the jacks aren't working, there is little room to get under the coach to trace the wires. Dealer doesn't have a pit or hoist. They are a big shop and they have already spent more than an hour or shop time looking.

Wanted to thank Richard S for posting that link. The diagran was just what I needed to locate the ground wire for the controller that had been left of when the coach bateries were replaced. Don't know if it will help Margarittamobile but I found a black with white tracer loose in the battery compartment that went all the way to the controller.
good luck.
Vern

Send a message via ICQ to Fred and Bonnie
Just info, my chassis/coach was built in August 2004 and has the new control unit, so I not sure when National RV started using the updated control unit.
