Hello all,

Has anyone had any problems with the INFO Center causing the gauges, speedometer, etc freezing in their position with no power and the warning light panel cycling from one warning light to the next and over and over again. I have isolated it to the Info Center showing a fuel below 25% warning or other things with the trip center.

Any ideas how to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John Parker

Don't know if this will help but I lost my gages (speed, temp, oil etc) when a lot boy crossed the jumper cables trying to jump start my Tradewinds. I had to have the VDC replaced. I could still drive it just had no gages.

John,
I am rather new to the National RV family. I may have an answer towards assisting you, but just to make sure I am looking at this in the right perspective, what chassis and powertrain is your coach based on?
Thanks
Jon

It is a 2004 Tropical with a Cat C7 engine on a Frieghtliner chassis. Allison transmission. Hope that helps.

From the sound of the problem I was pretty sure that it was a Freightliner/Cat chassis build. I don't remember on which site I had read of a problem like yours. It was either here, the Yahoo site, one of the Freightliner forums or on FCOC. Yeck, it may have just been while I doing some Google searches on some Freightliner error message codes.
Anyway, Freightliner had some lightbar/computer problems where they were not programed to communicate well under different conditions. The fix was a reflash that needed to be done to the coach. Freighliner had I believe even issued a service advisory on the problem.
I know to date we have had two reflashes preformed and one new lightbar installed and still receiving a message error code (however research shows this to be a wire issue...Freightliner issued an advisory on this also....Located the information after hours of Google and Bing time)
It maybe worth your time to call Freightliner and question the issue you are having.
