The previous owner was quite good about keeping copies of everything about the MH,but the instruction book about the alarm system is missing and I'd like to get ahold of one. The other day I got the batteries replaced, climbed in and tried to start the rig and no go,then the noises started and I couldn't figger out how to stop it,tried all the switches I could find and no good, very embarrassing.. I finally remembered that I had seen a key fob with lock and unlock emblems on it and got it out and sure enuff,it worked.. Almost afraid to do anything else for fear that I won't be able to turn it off.
I think it's a Puritan, but can't find it on their website. It has a little button and lamp on the left side of the dash,a red light on the outside of the door and a plastic motion sensor thingy in the ceiling over the dash with a blinking red light and a toggle switch..

Best suggestion is to GOOGLE the alarm system but alas, that did not help when I just tried it.. If you have the model of the alarm include it in the google search.

Usually this will find the manufacturer's web page, and from there you find the manual.

NOTE: This applies to dang near every device in the motor home

Took it to the RV place yesterday so the W/S guy could replace the W/S and when he opened the door the alarm went off and they couldn't stop it,so they closed and locked the door and walked away and after a bit it stopped. I went over and got them the key fob and so they can do the w/s tomorrow..
I tried googling them also, but couldn't find a way to get and old booklet.

Can you find a model number.. (You may have to find the alarm unit) either on the unit itself or on the key fob?

That may help in the google wars Alas. nothing I try is working

There is nothing on the sensor unit and I didn't see anything on the fob. The only way that I know the brand is that there is a line in his records of an instruction in a file box and it's not. Several other things are missing also.
