Hi,

My husband and I have been looking for a different motorhome we currently have a 78 Winnebago, and while we love it it's only 23 feet and it's just not enough room for us.

We've looked at quite a few motor homes but the one that stands out is the 2001 Seabreeze 30'. It's not a brand that we're familiar with so it was great to find this forum.

I know I have lots of questions but this seemed the best place to ask. I've already ordered information from the RV Consumers group but I'm not sure how long it will take to arrive.

1. Is there anything in specific that we should be aware of with this particular motorhome?

2. Now that National is gone do you think it will be difficult to find parts?

3. Now that National is gone do you think it will affect resale values in the future?

4. The model that we're looking at doesn't have leveling jacks do you find this an issue? It seems quite stable.

5. I've read on the RV consumer group that there can be problem with the Class A's and their chassis's. This one is on a workhorse chassis so I'm wondering if this would make it better?

6. The water tank in this model is under the bed does this placement have any pros or cons?

Thanks for any help that you can offer. :-)

Juli

Send a message via Yahoo to Rick Long
You will absolutely HATE yourself trying to level a class A motorhome without the build in jacks.

1. Is there anything in specific that we should be aware of with this particular motorhome?

Friend had one. No problems with theirs. Well appointed and good value. We love our 2001 Dolphin.

2. Now that National is gone do you think it will be difficult to find parts?

No. You can get componenet parts from the individual part manufacturers (Dometic, Atwood, etc). Fiberglass molds have been bought by others (see Yahoo National RV users group for info and files on this subject).

3. Now that National is gone do you think it will affect resale values in the future?

No. Many motorhome manufacturers have gone under over the years. Still a market for GMC motorhomes gone for about 30 years.

4. The model that we're looking at doesn't have leveling jacks do you find this an issue? It seems quite stable.

My last motorhome had no jacks and I used ramps. PITA. eventually had Camping world install a set. Would not camp without one. You can if you are willing to use ramps to level. Stability is not an issue. It is just to level unit when parked on unlevel ground.

Workhorse is a good chassis. Should not be a concern.

6. The water tank in this model is under the bed does this placement have any pros or cons?

It is all a matter of balance. On my Dolphin the engineers spent much time in placement of components to maintain balance. Should have done same with this unit.

Take your time checking out the motorhome to make sure all in working order then enjoy. WE have about 67,000 miles on our Dolphin and works like a charm.
