To the fearless forum leaders ,
Are there any plans to create any stickies on the top of this forum like the ones that are on the top of the Winnebago forum? When I was doing research on other brands, I found several of those sticky topics in the Winnebago forum very informative. Also, what about links to the National RV supported club sites?

I saw a recent article in a newspaper stating that National is hiring a PR firm (which is a good thing) but upon reading the information contained in the article, it seemed somewhat incomplete as it raised more questions than answers. As a prospective National owner, I do find much of the media information about National very disturbing. There seems to be a lot of incomplete and, in some cases, what appears to be mis-information that leads to a lot of speculation and negative impressions. Could a sticky be created for company information that would be accurate?
That article also really got me thinking about this forum, and IRV2 in general, as to how helpful and informative this place is. Is there any way to get a representative from National RV to chime in once in a while? Based on other forums here, that looks to be really beneficial to many folks to have a industry expert chime in with information or answers once in a while.

I know some of this would be a bit of work to accomplish if it is even possible.

Sorry, just some rants and thoughts.
Mike

Mike I appreciate yer post, you are most welcome to rant away, however, I'm not sure of what it is you've been hearing about National RV that is negative. Could you be a little more spacific as to what you have heard.

Mike, I think what you are going to find here are personal opinions and experiences of National RV owners. Some good, some bad, but most of all, informative. We don't claim to be experts, but if we can help you with a problem because we have maybe seen it before, that's what we are here for. And if we can point you toward an expert, all the better.

True, most of what I hear is based on opinions. Whenever we mention that we are going to buy a National Dolphin, we always get the comments like National is in real financial trouble or all the trade papers say National is going to fold. That Selling Country Coach was a mistake as CC was keeping National alive. We also hear just the oppsosite. National sold CC to get cash to pay off bills. I do pretty much ignore the comments about a bad MH or a great MH as every manufacturer has good and bad.
But when I look at some of the posted financials of National, which are factual, it gets me worried that some of the comments may be true. Like the one posted in this forum about the lease buyback. I know that National is not a huge conglomerate Like Winnebago or Fleetwood so their pockets are not as deep but still I cannot believe that National would just close it's doors and go away.
My wife and I have been doing a LOT of Class A shopping lately and we feel that National makes a VERY good coach at the Dolphin level. And that is what we are going to get.
Still, some of my other suggestions would be nice to see.
Thanks for listening again.
Mike

National RV gives its customers a chance to talk one on one to upper management at its Getaways. Pretty hard to dance around a subject when you are faced with a room full of "inquiring minds". I will try to get as much info as I can at the next one, in Pendelton, OR. I wouldn't wait that long to get the Dolphin, though.
I've been a National RV owner for almost ten years, currently on my second, and seen them go through reorganizations before, like the rest of the corporate world. We all know the pressure put on the industry by the gas crunch. Maybe I should be pulling a Pop Up, behind a hybrid. Too old to go back. Would like to get something when I finally sell it. If the company has gone bankrupt, that may be difficult.
On your other questions, this is a new forum. We are learning as we go. We need more input, and suggestions, from the rest of the crowd. Steve and I will do our best to give what you want. "Keep those cards and letters coming in, folks". Remember that? Your posts are always welcome. Now git out there and DRIVE!

Bill, thanks for the encouraging history about past reorgs.
Yes, we will be getting at least an 07 Dolphin LX 6355. I was hoping to find out what changes were in store for the 08's before I pulled the trigger but this may not happen. Of coures it also depends on what we find out there whith the options I want. I was really hoping for a wide screen LCD up front and that they move the CD changer somewhere else than right in the middle of the dashboard. Yea, I know, minor issues but I can hope. If not, those two items will be changed out over time anyway.
