Now that we are Orphans is there a Rally for National Coaches? Just attended the Monaco Rally in Salem and was 1 of 3 SOBs (some other brand)out of 558 Monaco MHs. They didn't seem to mind we were there, actually enjoyed it and met a lot of nice people. Tonite I'm parked right next to two other TradeWinds, so my baby is much more comfortable.
So is there any kind of Rally for us Nationals??

I spent many years riding a Yamaha motorcycle, and attending, as a "guest", Honda Gold Wing rallies. There was the friendly ribbing, comments like "A shaft drive on a Yamaha?" But I always felt welcome. This is the camaradarie of people sharing a common interest, regardless of brand. My National also has fit right in next to Winnabagos, Fleetwoods, etc.
I also have enjoyed attending National rallies, sponsored by the manufacturer, where you can find "your" MH, but equipt with something yours doesn't have. Being able to actually look at something, not just a description of it, is always helpful.
Others have taken on the challenge of getting people with something in common together, but usually start off on a small scale, such as local, regional, etc. Also the realities of providing insurance at a designated event come into play. If you keep it to a "lets meet somewhere", it's a lot easier.
The cost of fuel has restricted our travels, but we always make it to Quartzsite, AZ in the Winter. Anybody who wants to have a National "rally" out on BLM land is welcome to join us. This is done annually by other brands. Perhaps a similar effort could be established in your area. Lets kick the idea around.

We will be in QZ all winter. Since the Dolphins Rally is no more, let's see what we can put together.

Well as bill, my neighbor you are here somewhere in town with me LOL, said the commonness of the RV is what brings everyone together to start with. Whe we had an Airex years ago or our Dolphin today people always seem friendly and wanting to know what I like and dislike about my choice. They generally are not interested in religous wars over brand or model.
Careful if you start one of these though my LT, BMW motorcycle, group started out as dozen friends meeting together at a resort that has turned into a rally of 550 bikes each yea. It hasn't gotten bigger because that is the self imposed limit. Hard to find resorts that can take more than that or want mc's around if they are bigger.

Here are some National RV clubs. National RV Central States, National RV Club,Northeastern, and National RV Great Lakers. These clubs are chapters of the Family Motor Coach Association.

I belong to the Central States club, we do hold rallies, we were at the North Little Rock Rally in late September. I am sure that any National RV club can use new members.
