I just finished installing a RAM computer mount in our 99 Tradewinds. We have a ACER Aspire One computer we run MS Streets and Trips with a GPS Locator.
The mount is very sturdy and pretty easy to assemble. Just be careful to assemble according to directions or you may need to secure the "L" brackets that wrap around the computer with Super Glue. There are 4 methods of computer clamps provided in the kit and none look like they would damage or mar your computer.

At $77.04 for both parts, you select the Arm separately it's not gonna break the bank.

Here is a link to more pictures of the install.

Nice work.

What did you secure the mount to on the dash?

Fortunately right under the dash in that area is the ply wood frame, so screws through the dash plastic into the plywood held it fast.

Not to be negative, but just an observation...it looks great, but what are the chances that somewhere either near or far from home you get pulled over for the mount and computer blocking your vision due to the location and height of the screen?

I'm not sure. I know there are laws in some states about suction cup mounting anything to the windshield. I checked while sitting in the drivers seat and I can see over the Computer, with no obstruction to the mirror on the passengers side, but still Law enforcement doesn't care about that, the laws are the laws and they enforce them period.

If I get busted it will have to go down to lessons learned. It's not the GPS function I really wanted but when the budget permits I'll get the VMS and install it. I think the PC version is the way to go.

We'll see what happens.
Thanks for the thought, I'll check New Mexico, (where I live), laws and see if they can be interpreted. Things like this are oft times left up to the judgment of the officer. Words like reasonable and apparent are scary things when written into laws.

I would love to have a GPS with a screen that large. Or at this point any GPS, someone broke into my truck last week and stole my Nuvi. Yesterday on the way home from a Dallas Stars Hockey game I had to use my older version nav-system. And boy did she get me lost due to telling me some wrong turns....But I still love her after all these years. She is not only my nav-system, but also the Mother to my children, my Wife and Best Friend.
And as the saying goes: Sometimes the true adventure is the trip, not the destination.

Hope you don't mind, but I clicked over to take a look at your pictures. Beautiful house you have there in NM. I love the set-up you have on your property. I noticed you went with a metal roof, are those solar panels on the back side of the garage?
We went with a metal roof on our house when we built this time, the savings in insurance alone was worth the money. We did an ICF build which give us 16" thick exterior walls which with the metal roof also saves a good chunk of change when it comes to powering the HAVC.
Here is a link to a couple of photos if you care to take a look.

The pictures are there for folks to look at, no problems. The solar panels on the garage are to heat the pool, it's the only form of heater we have. Here in Albuquerque the weather changes pretty suddenly in the spring and fall and a gas or electric heater would not be used very much.
This is our first metal roof and we really like it. It's holding up really well and my guess is it will last min 30 years. It's in style here in ABQ so there are a lot of them around. We only have 1 1/4 acres, it looks like you've got a lot more and must be at altitude, Albuquerque has never seen that much snow. The brick exterior real looks nice and must last a lot longer than stucco.

Thanks for sharing your pictures.

No altitude, we are just south of Dallas, TX. The snow was a weird weather event, but it sure made for a few good winter weather photos of the house. The house sits on three acres, if you were also looking at the photos of the longhorn, that is land we have that is 60 miles south of the house.
The remodel projects you have photos of on your link are great. Very creative. I love the ceiling make-over, added that touch of a very high end coach look. And the tile back splash is fantastic.
Thanks for sharing.

The dealer that sold us the coach said the cieling looked like a pimp-mobile. But we like it and it was an intresting project. Making moulding is always a rewarding task. Lots of problems to solve like how to attach and how to keep the weight down. The total weight was about 32 lbs, not bad for the effect.

The backsplash was something we wanted to do from day one. My wife did a lot of the tile work and were really pleased with it.

The TV's were just something that needed done. There was no Home Enterainment System installed and we really wanted the audio over the house speakers, not to mention Digital tuning.

Were real lucky, the coach has had very few problems to repair and that enabled us to dabble in upgrades.
