Got a real scare today; I glanced down at the monitor and there was no car showing. My wife ran to the back and looked out and the car was there, just not showing on the monitor. The monitor lights up and appears normal in that respect, but does not show anything on the screen. Has anyone had this problem or know what the problem could be?

Start by checking all wiring and cable connections on the system.

On mine, there is a button under the power button that says :-Mode, or something like that. Press it and the image should appear. It happens every once in and while to me.

My unit has a camera button that selects between 2 cameras. For some reason ( I suspect the dog) it gets set to camera 2 and since we only have one camera there is no picture.

My rear view will sometimes just go off also. The side cameras work fine, never have even blinked. I can sometimes turn the camera off and then back on and it will be fine, sometimes I have to wait a while but it does come back on. I've had it in several times and they can't find any loose or bad connections and, of course, it's always working when they get it! It hasn't been a problem yet, just an inconvienence.
Good luck, hope you can find the cause, post it if you do please.
