My refrigerator STINKS! I have removed everything and washed all the walls and shelves. Put in a bowl of vinegar. Bought Arm & Hammer Baking soda and put that in there. Stuck two lumps of charcoal.

It STILL STINKS

Smells like bad fish.

HELP?

Darryl

FResh coffee grounds. Forgot and left chicken in the freezer last year. Covered the coach and wow what a smell 4 months later. Tried everything that you did plus some. A friend had me put about 2/3 cup of fresh grounds in a coffee filter turn the refrigerator on and close the doors within a couple days the smell was gone.

Darryl, if it smells like ammonia, go remove the outside access panel and check to see if there is any yellow residue on the back side of the refer. If there is you have a bad coil, hopefully it's not.

Being in the refrigerated trucking business, I have occasion to load product on trucks that have had "fresh" chicken on them. The smell persists sometimes even after a steam cleaning. I also use fresh coffee when that happens. One pound per trailer will eat the odor of almost anything. I would try to spread the coffee out on a flat pan for more surface area and put in a lower shelf.
