repainting our Dolphin

Has anybody had their motorhome repainted? We really like our Dolphin and while there is not much wrong with the exterior you can tell the paint has oxidized and the decals are showing some wear.
I am thinking about having ours repainted and new decals applied.
Any suggestions?

You can remove the decals yourself or pay to have it done. I suggest not to re-apply new decals as the problem of fading, cracking, shrinking and peeling will return in 3-4 years unless you store your RV in a building.
I had my decals removed and paint put in their place in the color and design I chose to cover up the shadows (where decals were).
A whole lot less maintenance and less worry. Pay now for it to be done right or pay more again later.

Check with Xtreme Paint and Graphics in Nacogdochas Texas or at least look at their web site. They do beautiful work - not real inexpensive however.

Is yours painted? My 99 Dolphin isn't, it's gel coated fiberglass. The gel coat was dull used a random orbital polisher/buffer and Griot's Garage polishes 1, 2, & 3. After the polishing I waxed it with Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax. Took some work but it now shines like new.
