We just got our motorhome in December so my 1st mod was to replace that big boat anchor of a TV. I put in a bluetooth soundbar and a 32" Samsung Smart TV. The soundbar also has an FM tuner so I can put off replacing the radio. Now the TV is flush with the side cabinets. I had already hit my head multiple times on that old TV (sticks out about 5").

Now we can swing it out and tilt for better viewing from the couch:

I'm debating on painting the inside all black and maybe even the boards on the left/right/top of the TV.

Where is the bracket attached? Can't see it? When driving, does the TV move around? I see you put in a shelf for the Sound Bar. Can you use space behind TV for storage. We have a 2005 Dolphin LX that looks very similar.

Very nice.. I replaced my TV, but I like the swing out idea.. Do you have a picture of the bracket?? How it is installed??

I attached the bracket to the side of the right cabinet (screws with bolts). The picture is not the final location, I moved it down about 2". I still need to add a shelf at the bottom so we can use that space. The TV has a metal lip on the bottom that fits in a slot I made on top of the bottom board. It seems to lock it into place pretty good, but I just did it so no road test yet. I'll try get better pictures.

Nice job.
I like the oak. I wouldn't paint it black. Definitely paint the inside of the cabinet. Maybe an oak outside corner trim around TV?
I would try to use the same black material (glass) that is used in the panels of doors to left and right. Maybe recessed far enough to clear the arm when TV is secured. Maybe a removable panel that can rest in that lip and a fastener on top, with a notch for the arm when extended. Remove panel and stow when TV is secured?

Nice job! I need to do the same on my 07 Sea Breeze. I was thinking using some kind of soft rubber gasket between the surfaces of the tv/bracket. That would keep it nice and quite when travelling.....just an Idea.

Removal Instructions:

The 1st thing to come off is the front wood frame that surrounds the front of the TV. It's held in place by screws from inside the adjacent compartments. The screws are hidden with wooden caps. Pull them out to get access to the screws. Once the screws are out, pull the front wood frame out from the bottom and it should drop down. You could remove caulk 1st, but I didn't.

Next, remove the plastic cover at the bottom of the TV. You just need to bend it to get the tabs out. This will get you access to disconnect the input cables in back of the TV. You will also need to unplug the power cord in the right compartment and cut it or feed it through to the TV.

There are 6 bolts at the bottom (3 per side) that hold the TV in place. I used an open end wrench to remove the back 4 so only the front 2 were left. The TV still holds itself up with just the front 2. It's hard to get at the back 4 bolts, I scraped my hand up a bit removing them but it's doable. I had my wife remove the front 2 while me and a friend held the TV (it's real heavy).

I took the old TV to Best Buy, they don't charge to dispose of them. Let me know if this isn't clear.

Very nice Maddog! Did you use lock-tite on the screws to the back of the TV? If not, check them periodically, they can vibrate loose. I incorporated 2 1 1/4" velcro straps as a Safety "net" while driving.
