I'm going to replace my rear tube TV with a Samsung 22 inch LCD. The current TV sits on top of a cabinet between the clothes closet and the back of the motorhome. I plan on mounting the LCD TV using an articulating mount. Has anyone done this and if so, how did you attach the mount to the wall?

I put a 17' lcd that is an AC'/DC unit with a built in DVD player. I wired the DC from the light that is on the ceiling. I did this so I don't have to have the generator on. (I don't have an invertor) I put the TV on a lazy susan type thing. Works great for me.

I built a small wood frame mount structure for a swing out arm to mount an LCD TV to. The frame is attached (wedged, glued, and screwed) to the rear wall, ceiling, and top of the cabinet. I covered the mount frame with textured white plastic sheeting and then mounted a swing arm to that. I carpeted the lower shelf/top of the cabinet so the TV can rest on it while swung out in viewing mode. I think if you just try to mount a swing arm to existing framework it likely will not hold securely.
