You'll have to test for 120 v at the A/C. It is controlled by the 12 v thermostat, so make sure it's working too. (test it's furnace function) If you have 120 v and the thermostat still controls the furnace, then it could be any number of things, a bad control board, bad starting capacitor, seized compressor, etc.
