Roof caulking?

Have a 2002 Tradewind 7370 and found a small section of 5-6 inches of failing original caulking at the rear of the fiberglass roof/sidewall joint on the passenger side. Does anyone know the appropriate caulk to use. Someone had tried to repair with silicone which I have removed. I would like to do it right the first time. Rest of seams and lap sealants look good. Thanks for any advice. Have a good day and safe journeys if you are on the road. Gary.

Most of us use Dicor Lap Seal as our chalking of choice. There are other decent brands out there...but Dicor is easy to find.

I have used Dicor in the past on a travel trailer. My only concern from reading past posts here on caulking is that this needs to stay somewhat flexible. The good caulk that remains can be indented with a thumbnail. I may be worrying too much about a minor problem. Thanks for your reply. Gary

This dicor that I have specified will remain flexible for years. It is non hardening.

Thanks for the advice.

Did a fairly presentable repair with the dicor and am reading and researching the Eternabond and Proflex for possible future use. Glad I got it finished before our surprise snow on Saturday here in WNC.

Gary... you got lucky....I have been up on that roof in the middle of a freezing rain storm trying to decide where the leak was really coming from. Now that my roof is repaired and looking good....I will never let it fall in disrepair again.
