Running CPAP machine

Been diagnosed with sleep apnea. Can you run the machine off the coach while boondogging using the inverter. Have a Seabreeze LX 2007. Any tricks other apnea users have any tips?

Absolutely!
My husband uses his CPAP while boondocking. I try to run the genset for 30 minutes during the day to recharge the house batterties.

I have used my CPAP machine off the coach while invertor while boondogging . You need to insure your bedroom outlets work while the invertor is on. RV on with your CPAP.

Running the CPAP from the inverter is fine, But it is far more efficient to get the 12v transformer for your machine.

Most CPAP machines actually run on 24v. The power supply steps down your 110v to supply 24v. That being said, when you run your inverter you have a power loss when converting 12v to 110v. Then you again have a power loss converting 110v to 24v.

Get the 12v transformer that steps the voltage for your machine and save some amp hrs. in your batteries.

Sleep Apnea- Without power

Thanks for all your informative suggestions! Was able to run my machine using a 12v battery and converter. Coach plugs were live only when plugged into shore power or generator on. Saved coach batteries for other usage. The links were great and gave me extra info that I needed. This site and the people on it are the greatest!
