Last fall, discovered a water leak behind the toilet. Did the totally un-American thing: pulled out and read the Owners' Manual.
Found the problem to be something called a "Vacuum Breaker". Called the number on the manual, they told me I could not buy directly from them....but "here is the name and phone number of the distributor that covers your area."
Fine. I called them, a knowledgeable guy came on and 40 bucks and 48 hours later...the part arrived. Changing it out...the toughest part was that I could not really SEE what was going on...had to use a mirror at one point. Anyway, part(s) swapped out...no more water leak.
Last weekend,we were having sporadic problems flushing. Wifeepoo discovered a wet carpet on the left side area of the toilet. Found it to be the "water valve" leaking from the top every time we stepped on the pedal. Called the distributor...a knowedgable lady came on, 50 bucks and 48 later...here was the part. Going to put it on today. Now...I think I noticed a common hose between the water valve and the vacuum breaker. I wonder if this might be the cause of the flushing problem. Guess I'll find out.
Great service. I guess the prices are what the prices are.

I was happy with marksrv.com for parts and prices for a former Aqua Magic toilet. They have SeaLand parts, too.

Jim,
If you wiggle the vaccumn a little while pulling out on it, it will slip right out of the toilet. The spray and vaccumn is all common from the foot petal valve. Another way too make it easier, is to loosen the screw clamp holding the toilet on the pedastal, remove the locking ring, and lift the toiler off. Your flush assembly is exposed then, giving you plenty of room to work on it. As the toilet is lifted, the vaccumn has to be removed from the back.

Cute dog: I had one...his "official" name was Bar-Dinheimer-Stoltz...that's a memory from childhood.
Anyway.....other than the "space" problem I mentioned, the "vacuum breaker" itself was no problem.
The "water valve" was also no problem, once I removed the plastic pedal assembly (2 screws and a tug) the valve itself was pretty straight forward...no instructions really needed, 2 hoses, 2 screws, a bit of vaseline on the "dome"...all done in about 1/2 hour.

Shortcut to RV Systems and Appliances added for better visability per Admin recommendation.
