Hi all. It's been a while since I've been hear posting and reading.
We had some very heavy rain in the last month or so in Northern California. It exposed a few leaks on the Dolphin that I recently repaired. The first was a simple strip, clean and re-caulk of the Black Water vent on the roof. The second and a bit more labor intensive project, was the seam between the front cap and roof. I noticed a few drips of water falling on the dash on evening and knew I had a problem.
Short story is that I stripped the many layers of old rtv and caulking from the seam that NRV put there. Cleaned with acetone, then Alcohol and then warm water and Dawn dish soap. Re-applied caulking I bought from Camping world. I let the caulking cure for a week and then added, a strip of White Eternabond tape, 4" wide. If you haven't tried eternabond you are missing out on one exceptional product. Going to do the rear seam next week. I guaranty, I'll have no leaks on the front ever again.
Cheers
