Shade Removal Help

I have a 2001 Tradewinds 7390 and need to restring the day/night shade directly behind the passenger seat. After I took the two screws off each side of the valance I can't remove them. Any thoughts on removing the valance so I can get the shade down?

Go to YouTube they have a lot of people showing you how to remove and string..

When I did mine last year, there was a snap in clip also holding the shade in.. had to get a flat tip screwdriver to push it away from the shade.

Joe,
If you look hard I think you'll find some screws hidden in the fabric that are screwed into the cabinet above the valance.

Is this the shade that is under/behind the cabinet. I'm fighting the same situation now.

I resolved my issue by taking the screen off, then inspecting the shade mount from the outside. Sure enough, there are 3 screws going through the shade header and up into the cabinet above. It will be tricky getting a long screw driver behind the shade but I will remain confident.

Sorry I didn't post a picture today but I didn't get the MH back from the shop today. Thanks for the info on the screw location, I 'll check mine when I get it home.

I removed all the valances in my "05 to recover the corners. I used a magnetic screw driver to find the hidden screws buried in the fabric. There may be as 6-8 screws holding the long valances. Good luck,

Yippee, I got lucky. I felt around on the inside top and found a screw, I undid it and saw that there was one more on the other end. Now to restring and hopefully find the cabinet holes to screw the valance back in place.
