Should I buy......

Since the seller is really working to make the coach right, I would hang in there a little while longer to see if the defects get corrected. As many replyers have said, NRV made a great coach! However, there are lemons sometimes, too!

I think in a previous post you said it was an LX, which I believe is on the W-22 Workhorse chassis. That is a bonus! The W-22 is far superior to the F53 Ford chassis of that era.

As also said, if you are uncomfortable, walk away! There will be another coach available down the road!

Good luck with your decision.

Happy Trails!

national

we had a 2004 national and they are one of the best built mh. it drove and handled really well, no rattles as it went down the road, has many features of the really expensive coaches. only problem we had was the workhorse issue with the brakes and that was resolved. and with the warranty it is a plus..

I think the seller is doing right by you.. Remember, the coach has prolly sat a while and sitting is when things go bad.. I would continue to buy it.

Friends had one and I did some work on it. Seemed to be pretty well built and I'm comparing it to a Newmar Dutch Star.

Thanks again for all the replies. I spoke with the owner last night. The pump or part to fix it is on track to come in between June 6-8. So I hope the jacks are all set after that. I also spoke to him about a pre-purchase inspection. He said they offer one at Camping world, which is where the coach is, for $160.00. I told him to have them do it at my expense of course, and hopfully we will be good to go. Right now I am looking at June 13 or 19 for a pick up. I'll keep you all updated. We have reservations for the week of the fourth. I hope I don't have to camp in a tent.

Your seller seems like a very honest person but a little caution. You need to order, pay for and have your name and phone number on the inspection. You should to be the one they contact and the one that is there when they go over the pre-purchase report. I lucked out with my coach but realized later the loyalty of the inspection company is to the person that pays for the inspection. One tech said is this a Pre-Purchase or Get Ready to Sell inspection.
