Shower Drain

Good morning -- hope you all can help. I have a 2003 M395 Tradewinds and the drain trap under the shower has broken loose from the drain fixture. I am at a loss as to how to get a replacement. I tried the internet and the new one is different than the original. The local dealer has also been unable to obtain one. I'm trying an RV salvage store now and am waiting for an answer. Does anyone have a source that may have the correct part??!! Or an idea? It is also not the easiest place to get to! Thanks in advance for you help.

Try Mobile Home Parts place. Sometimes you can find same size as RV on the plumbing

My shower P trap broke on the first trip 10 years ago. Used a Home Depot rubber sleeve with stainless steel spiral clamps to fit over the Broken ABS Ptrap joint.

Later on NRV replaced the Ptrap which promptly leaked again. So had them reinstall my fix. No problems since then.

It was a tight place to work through the small access.

Thanks M & EM That might work! You're right about the access -- guess it was never supposed to need replacement!
Happy Trails

Kirk, it was plumbing for sure. HD had a variety of sizes. They look like short pieces of very large radiator hose and come with two spiral clamps.

Can't remember the size I used. Think it must have been 1 1/2" I.D. Bought several and returned unused. Mine had broken at the adapter NRV used that went from 1 1/2"FPT down to 1 1/4 M. It used a Nibco brand ASB 'p trap#5895. The O.D. of the female glue end was what I matched to the repair sleeve. As I recall, the broken adapter part screwed onto the bottom of the shower drain and is a 1 1/2" FPT . Its O.D. matched the above.

The adapter part NRV gave me after re installing my fix I still have. The PN is 3214 brand is Canpas ,Canada ABS. A second part is a simple ABS/DW item that extends a 1 1/4 pipe M-F.

HTH
Marty

Just a quick update -- my temporary fix with cobbled together parts from Menards is still holding, so not going to fix it if it is still working. However, I found the correct part with PPLmotorhomes.com and am carrying it with me for when the time comes. This is a great place to buy RV parts -- never been disappointed.
