Slide Adjustments?

I have a 99 Tropical with two slides. I am new to RV'ing so I apologize if this question seems dumb. Any way, here is my problem. The Tropical has two molded Fibreglass pieces that cover the ends of the front slide Rams. When I bought the rig, one piece was missing. I ordered the replacement and it arrived and looks perfect. Problem is that it doesn't seem to fit the space the Ram retracts into. I am guessing that is why the first one was missing. It probably snapped off at some time when the slide was retracted. Is there an adjustment on slides to increase the height of the Ram? I probably need a 1/2" of adjustment but am not sure where to look. I figured it might be better to ask about it first before I waste a lot of time looking around for something that might not exist. If anybody can help, it is much appreciated.
