I purchased a used 2005 34 ft Seabreeze earlier this year with 2 slides(1341 on V10 F53). To operate, I just push the button. QUESTION - I have been reading some other threads here on other fourms and hear of "Slide locks" and am wondering if my rig has them. If so can anyone tells me anything about them. ???
Thanks in advance for this new-guy question.
John

Most coaches have them. My Class C used a webbed strap from the slide to the floor. My Class A uses a metal rod.
I don't use them and can't think of anyone I know that does.
Hopefully someone who uses them will reply.

In 2005 National used two slide manufactures, Powergear and RBW both are equiped with electro mechinical locks on the motors. This is what keeps you slide room from moving out when traveling. If you need the manuals for the slides Powergear has a good web sight with plenty of information, RBW not so good. Your main room should be Powergear and the bed slide could be RBW or PG.

Thanks Richard and Sdennislee. I guess that this is not something that I need to worry about or have to do anything. It is safe with no action. Right??

I have looked at both types of manual slide locks my rigs have had and have come to the conclusion that neither on would stop a slide if it decided to go out own it's own.

John; I have a 2004 Sea breeze 1341 and it has no "Slide Locks" either. Like Richard S. posted they have electro mechinical locks on the motors. Enjoy your Sea breeze.

There are two kinds of slide locks that I know of, not all slides need 'em.
One (I have) is an "expansion bar" I don't know if you are old enough but back in the 60's you could get a bar you held up in a doorway, turned the bar and screw ends extended to "Gip" the door frame and you could use it for chin ups and such. There is another product (more likely to rip your door frame apart) on the market now that hooks over the header.
These work the same way, screws, turnbuckle sstyle in both ends one end fits into a socket in teh wall, the other has a bar that pushes the slide in so it can't slide out.
The other lock is either a rod with hook that grabs a ring in the floor, or straps that work the same way.
Not all slides need em. I have 3 slides. only one needs a lock.
