Hi Rick,
It all started with the outside right top corner going in too far and rubbing my awning bracket. After checking with power gear and finding out ther is not an adjustment for this issuse and looking at it myself for several days, I went to a dealership and they said it was the seal around slide. I did not believe that was the problem but, they said that had to be replaced first. That wasn't the problem and couple hundred later, they told me it was the rails needed replaced billed my insurance company for 23 1/2 hours labor for just the removal of the slide not counting the repairs needed. When I picked it up, it was better but, still not right, After a couple of times running the slide in and out it was worst than ever, They had bowed the bottom of the slide in the center and now it is not flush there. It started grinding scraping so I took it back again. This time they tried to give me a song and dance about the only fix was a roller system. There was nylon scrapings on the floor under kitchen cabinet and they tried to tell me that was the drill residue from replacing the rails. I pulled out a block of nylon from under the cabinet and their tech said it was something he had added to try and make the slide work, this is what the residue was coming from. The ser. manager then said they didn't bow the slide as they never removed it. Wow, I thought, never removed it and billed my ins. for $2500. labor to remove it. When I question it he said, what is it to you, you did not have to pay it. To make it short Rv is still there and my last comments were fix it, whatever it takes and maybe I should be contacting my insurance company. We'll see whats next, haven't heard back yet. To answer your question is that they billed insurance company when I first left with it. That bill was over $4000.00
