Slide out wont drop

Hello out there, I have a 2004 Dolphin and noticed the last time I closed my large slide out it would not drop back down to the carpet. It is completely closed and I cannot see anything stuck underneath. Can this create a problem? Thanks in advance for your help!!

None of my 3 slides sit tight to the floor once they're retracted either, it's never been an issue.

I have a 2005 Sea Breeze LX. When the main slide is closed on my coach it is suspended 2 or 3 inches above the floor. Every other later model National gas coach that I have seen is the same. The slide floor only drops lower when the slide is almost all the way open, and drops all the way to the coach floor when it is completely open.

I think your condition is normal.

Bill

I have the same condition on my 05 Trpical, the slide only drops flush when it is full open. Sounds normal to me.

I guess I'm getting old! I could swear it would drop down when it was retracted as well. Thanks!

Look at the seal around the outside, if it's closed evenly all around then you are where it is suppose to be.

The main slide on my 05 Sea Breeze sits abouut an inch or so off the floor when it's retracted.
