I have a (new) 2006 Tradeswinds 40F, 4 slider. On a trip last week while making a left turn, the salon slider (pax side) tilted out about 2 feet from the top. The bottom stayed in place, just the top tilted. Scared the %$#$ out of my wife who was seated on the other side and saw it happen. It wasn't a fast turn, in fact, I was sitting at a light waiting for the arrow. I checked to make sure it was fully retracted and it was. This happened 2 more times on the trip, even after I started really favoring/crawling through my left turns.

This is a very heavy slider with the refrig, table, and tube TV, but still shouldn't be happening. I called the dealer and they said they've never had this reported before. They suggested using a bar on the top while traveling. But after looking on top, I don't see a way to do this without damaging/cutting the top cover. Only way would be to brace it on the molding and that's not going to hold well enough.

Anyone else have this experience or have some suggestions?

Try this other link. Some of the old National Factory people post answers there.
Good Luck
