Prior to obtaining registration I have to have the vehicles VIN number and emissions information verified by DMV or law enforcement. The VIN is easy to find, but the emissions info I have not been able to locate. It is probably on the engine somewhee, but not easy to access. Motorhome is a 2008 35' Tropical LX with a 350 cummins pusher. Hopefully the 08 is configured like previous models and someone out there knows where the plate or decal is located and how to view it. Is there some panel on the floor that has to be removed for access?

I don't have an answer, just a thought. I seriously doubt it could be built in Calif and not meet Calif smog.

I am presuming the coach was bought outside Calif.?

Most engine manufacturers put a plate on the engine block itself. In my last two trucks , one with a Cat, and the other with Cummins, it was on the driver side of the block. Easily seen with hood up, but engine buried in motor home- that's another story.

Mine is a 2002, but it has a emissions label on the front of the engine, back of the coach that I can see from the rear engine door but I have the side radiator so I have a pretty clear view of the engine.
