Am in the process of putting LCD tv in front of my recently purchased 2003 sea breeze lx8311, and I unplugged what appears to be 2 speaker wires from back of old tv. I assume these go to speakers that the radio plays through located in coach. My toggle that says "radio/tv" on dash has been jumpered so radio plays on both settings. Are these speakers powered, and if so are they meant to play when plugged in to L and R audio out on back of new tv? If they are powered, if I remove the jumper (assuming switch still works), is switching toggle to "tv" meant to power these speakers when plugged in to audio out as mentioned above? Anything to watch out for? Don't want to damage new tv. ( I will be posting pics of install, tv removal much easier on this RV). Thanks.

If you have an entertainment system, they go to the audio inputs of your VCR or DVD surround sound system. The switch on the dash "radio/tv" was not used on 2003 models, at least that's what I was told. I have a schematic of the entire entertainment system but don't know how to send it. It was sent to me by National RV before they went belly-up. If someone can explain how I can post it I will. I also will be replacing my front 27" tube TV this winter with a 32" LCD. I plan on eliminating the VCR and changing the surround sound system to accommodate Blu-Ray and HD DVD. My motohome has an RCA TV and surround sound system. I plan on buying an updated RCA surround sound system so the speakers will be compatible with the new unit. The model number of the RCA surround sound system is RTB1013 and Target sells them. I know its not the best unit out there, but it will be an easy swap out and can probably use the already installed speakers. I already removed the plastic facia that enveloped the stereo equipment several years ago to get better air circulation. I finished the exposed ends of the shelves with iron on wood tape and stained them to match.

I would love to have a copy of this. If it is in electronic format (like a pdf), hit reply, get into the advanced editor, click the little paperclip icon above the editor and attach the file.

Ramblin, the file is a TIFF image. I tried your method of sending it, but it was kicked back as an invalid file. Send me a private message with your email address and I can send it. I just sent you a private message with my email address.

Well, after buying this system I changed my mind. It had really bad sound quality so I took it back. Ended up buying a Panasonic Bluray surround sound unit from Best Buy. The Model No is SC-BTT268. The subwoofer is small enought to fit under the dash like the old RCA unit. I also bought a Vizio 32" with wifi andVizio internet apps. The Model Number to this unit is XVT323SV. I have not installed the updates yet. They are set up in our spare bedroom right now. My wife will be undergoing leg surgery soon and will be using this bedroom to recover. After her recovery, I'll do the installation. Here's a link to an update Coulter6 completed Front LCD TV Install in a 2005 Sea Breeze 8321LX Oh btw, Panasonic has an equivalent surround sound system with wifi but I didn't need that since the TV has wifi and internet apps.
