I am still having problems with low water pressure and long pump runs when boondocking. Also it takes more than 4 hours to fill our freshwater tank. Everything is fine when we are hooked to 'city' water.

Is there a filter in the tank fill line that need changed?

How do I get to the freshwater pump?

Thanks,

Loren

I also have a Surf Side 29A. I'm not having your problem with slow filling but I did on a Sufari Trek that I owned. Check your tank vent. It needs to let air out, to let water in, or for the pump to perform properly. The fresh water tank should be vented somewhere.

I don't have any trouble filling my tank. I did have trouble with the pump cycling often. So I just yesterday put new check valve plate in the pump. The pump is located behind the plate the has the valves for the water system. There are hoses to all the valves, so you can drop the plate down and and work on the pump without disconnecting any hoses. Hope that helps. Bill

Bill, Did I meet you over in St. George a couple of years ago? Senior games or something? I'm curious about the panel you're talking about. Are you referring to the cabinet located just behind the drivers side rear tires where the tank drains and water inlet valves are located? I don't have a problem but when I do it would be good to know where that pump is located. Jim in Kanab

Yes you did meet us in ST George a couple of years ago. Yes that is the panel we are talking about. The pump sits behind the panel and when you lower the plate to see the water pump you can see all the way across to the back of the hot water heater. There are some good pictures of it here: Dolphin water system saga-done! Bill

Bill,
That Dolphin layout is a little different than mine but I guess essentially the same as far as operation. My water heater is on the opposite of the rig, behind the passenger side rear wheels. Are saying when you remove that panel you can see all the way across to it? Interesting.

Yes you can see all the way across. It is like the basement in older mh but you can't store anything in there as it is full of hoses and plastic pipe. Access to your sensors on the holding tanks are in there too Bill.

Thanks, that's good to know. I was wondering where the tank sensors were. I have one that doesn't quite read right but it's the kind of thing you just get used to as a pecularity. Maybe I can find it now and check it out. Jim
