The refrigerator in the MH is getting way to cold. I have been told that the thermistor needs to be replaced, but have also been told that from what I've told others that the problem is the Thermistor is not in the correct place.Mine is located in a plastic sleeve hooked onto the top shelf. Some say it sould be on the rear fins, any 1341 Sea Breeze owners who can tell me where it is located on their motorhomes.
Thank you

It should be hooked to the first or second fin on the right side as you are looking in.
Up location is cold, down is warmer, you might set it mid way and adjust as required.

Whether Dometic or Norcold most are attached to a fin on the right side.
Mine is on second fin from right about 1" 1/4 from top.
Never had a cooling problem there.
The thermistor needs to sense the temperature of fin for correct cooling.

I wonder who and why the one in my MH was mounted onto the top shelf and not the cooling fins.I need to locate a Sea Breeze and check out the attachment.
Thank you for the information.

On our 2nd trip in our 05 Dolphin, I discovered the problems operating the refrigerator when the MH is not level can cause. This caused us to visit RV Refrigeration south of Charlotte N.C. and in the process they applied a batch of Norcold recalls (the last one was to avoid a potential fire danger).
Herer are two things I gleaned from the tech:
The level sensor is in the light fixture inside the refrigerator and you can defeat it by unplugging it and clip the temperature sensor to the 3rd fin from the right because the refrigerant comes in from the right and you get a more accurate reading (according to the tech). We have a two door Norcold model 1200LRIM.

If you do a google search on your fridge make and model you will likely find a complete service manual with drawings showing where everything should be located and parts list for DIY repairs.

Thank you for all the helpful replies. I hadn't thought about looking on line for a service manual with drawings and being able to locate where the thermistor should be located.
