I have an '01 Tradewinds LTC and had to take it in to have the generator return fuel line fitting replaced where it goes thru the rear bulkhead. It was leaking and when I jiggled it,the hose just dropped off the outer fitting.Took it in to have it fixed and they are going to have to take the whole generator out to take the panels off to get the fitting redone. The way it's installed, you can't get to all the bolts to loosen them and you can't take the generator covers off w/o pulling the whole thing out and that means unbolting it from the frame, disconnecting the elec and water connections..Wow.Several hours of labor for a $3 part.. I know that's one of the joys of owning a MH,but that's ridiculous.
The former owner had a list of all the optiions, etc that were put into this MH and two of them were the battery shelf slideout and the generator slideout.. Very interesting as it weren't done.. Of course,I can't go back to National as they aren't there, but durn it would have been nice if the unit would just slide right out.

Is it possible that the dealer never ordered the options? That wouldn't keep him from charging for them, though!
