Where do I start searching for remedies to ..... no power at back towing trailer plug in 6 or 7 pin female receiver. Looking to reduce from said 6 or 7 pin outlet to the standard 4-pin flat trailer plug. During this process, cannot find power to this 6 or 7 pin receiver, hence suspect it is fuse or power related. PS: Where do I look for the fuse panel on a 37 foot 2000 National Tradewinds Motorhome.
PSS: Just know that the services provided by fellow National RV owners in light of the bankruptcy of the parent company is invaluable. Please give yourselves a round of applause.

We have a 99 Tradewinds and it has a 6 Way connector. The center contact is suppose to be the 12 VDC Power on this connector, but ours isn't wired at all. The L & R Turn signals are and the Brake Likes are, but basically it's wired with only the 4 way connector functions. If you need power you can pull a wire to the power panel just aft of the right rear wheels. I'll attach the drawings of the 6 Way connector but if you need others you can go to http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx and find drawings for all of the configurations.
Also attached it a drawing fo the power dist. panel. The one in my owners manual didn't match the coach and this one is a lot closer. If you need a Owners Manual for your coach go here and download one for a 1999, should be close. You'll also find several other documents I have scanned in, please feel free to download anything you need. I have a pretty complete set of docs for our 99 and if you need something specific ask and if I have it I'll scan it in.

Hi Dick - thanks for the info. The previous owner provided us with a 6-pin to 4-pin coupler. If it was wired correctly, our centre pin which is wired to the white on the 4-pin flat would lead me to believe that the centre pin of the 6 on the motorhome has to be the ground. Does this make any sense to you? Hence if I don't have a ground, my tester will give me no indications of any power to turn signals, running lights or brake lights. PS: May have to find a ground on the frame and try this process over again and make no assumptions of which pin is the ground.

I have a 6 Way to twin 4 Way adapter I use for the Dolly and a additional set of lights and it's wired like the drawing. Both work fine so I guess your PO did some creative wiring on the coach harness. I rechecked and my TW doesn't have a wire on the center pin of the 6 Way. At this point you may need to ring out the ground with a meter, and use a tester or a light bulb to find the turn signals and the running lights on your 6 Way. It's only important which pin things are on if you intend to hook up something other than your gear. If you always use your 4 Way adapter you good to go.
