Tradewinds undercarriage modifications and upgrades.

Has anyone changed the sway bars or added koni shocks . How about motion controlled units at the air bags, I believe they are air restrictors. Or a safety plus steering control and last but not least a super steer bell crank, which is a bell cranks with bearings in it instead of just a grease zerk on it. I realize I'm driving a giant sail down the road, but have passed through some very windy areas and it gets rather spooky. It still appears to have original shocks on it and no other upgrades. I will probably continue to drive it old school, but if there is a cure for the wind problem, and passing trucks wanting to push you off the road on two-lane roads I'm interested. So please send some feedback. I need all the help and experience I can get, because that is what this form is about. http://www.irv2.com/forums/images/smilies/blush.gif

Since you are in Southern Oregon, take your rig to Hendersons Line-Up in Grants Pass. Have them do a test drive for approx. $120.00 and they will make their recommendations. Highly recommend these guys

We did the steer-safe, bell crank & Konis in 2009 at Brazel's. Last year we had Henderson's make their recommendations and we added motion control. The motion control made a huge difference for the "wobble" over driveways, etc. They also recommended a new sway bar but we're happy with the changes already made.

Maybe the biggest difference in handling was new Michelins last year.

Coach handles most winds & passing trucks with no white knuckles.
