tranny question

I noticed on my 2001 39ft national rv marlin diesel pusher, that the 6 speed Allison transmission is not fastened in any way to the frame of the vehicle. Just fastened to motor and motor is secured in 4 places to frame. It has a short driveshaft. It seems kind of funny that this would be the case because of torque from drive shaft. Does anyone have any thoughts on why its this way. I am thinking of fastening the tranny to frame for strength and maybe less vibration. The rv is 12 yrs old and works ok so maybe I should leave well enough alone.

If that's the way it was built and hasn't been a problem, then I'd leave it alone. Who, knows if you brace it to where it can't move, something may break.
I used to think it funny that the old VW Beetles had nothing to hold the engine in place, but 4 small bolts attaching it to the transmission/transaxle.

Making things more ridged will intense the vibration to no end, Remember, it's a pusher!
