Only when they are locked. If you know for sure it's unlocked and the handle won't pop out when the button is pushed the mechanism is probably gummed up from lack of lubrication. Try spraying some penetrating lub in the key slot. Use a lub that has a small nozzle and work the nozzle in as far as you can into the key slot. Give it a good spray of lub. Let it sit for a few minutes. If it doesn't work the first time spray it again. If the handle still won't pop out have someone crawl through from the opposite side of the coach and remove the latch so the door can be opened. The latch is held on to the shaft with an allen set screw. Once the door is open hold it horizontal so you can soak the lock with lub.
I lub all of my locks twice a year with lock lub, never had any stick.

This is a non lockable latch. It is on the propane door. I had them off to repaint the doors and this one when pushed in would not pop out when I pushed the button. Just can't figure how to release it. Hate to drill it out and replace the thing but may have to. Thanks for your help.

You should have access to the inside of the compartment from under the bin. Remove the catch and you should be able to slide the latch out the front. Be very careful because if you don't cover the parts as they come out the front springs and other little parts will fly into the grass or some other place you'll never find them. Once it's out you can clean it and lube it and it'll be "Right As Rain"
If you should loose the parts or not be able to get it put back you can but parts from TriMark. Please don't ask how I know that.

Does the button move at all? If it worked before it was removed something happened during reassembly. As Dick said the catch can be accessed from underneath. Just loosen the set screw and slide it off and open the door.

Yes I can open the door as I did not install the catch on the lock when reinstalling. I have taken the retainer snap ring off the backside but handle will not come out of the door so I can work on it. Oh the button will push in but handle still will not pop out.

I have never had my locks apart so probably can't help further. I will take one of my locks apart to see if there is something that could prevent it from coming out.

Thanks for the help guys. I finally figured them out. There is a slot on the inside of the receiver that you can take a 3/8 inch wide piece of thin metal and slide into lock to unlock them. from there you can see what the problem may be. Now to dewinterize and get ready for Martinsville races.

Thanks for the update. I haven't had time to take mine apart because we're getting ready for a trip on Monday.
