Question TriMark door lock

The spring loaded snib broke on our 2008 Dolphin and Tri Mark only supplies the complete exterior plate assembly for $71.00 Does anyone know where you can obtain individual parts instead of having to purchase a complete mechanism? The part number for the exterior assembly is 060-0650.

Google The Gambler in Victorville, Calif. They have a lot of parts from National and other out of business RV dealers. THey run a shop in Quartzsite AZ during the Winter, but also run a business in CA. Their CA phone will have a 760 area code.

If you are good with tools you can fix the old one (I have done a few basement doors)

Also a good steel carver can make one for you out of real steel, not the (term untypable) that Tri-Mark uses.

Funny thing. I'd been watching this thread. Then last night I went out to lock up the motorhome and the latch lock wouldn't engage. The latch worked fine except it just wouldn't lock. I could feel the key moving the internals, but nada. It had worked fine the night before. What the heck?

Locked it with the deadbolt for the night, mumbling to myself about reading this thread and having it jinx me.

It's a single paddle square style - most likely a Tri Mark - with a separate deadbolt. It locks on the inside with a plunger that looks like an over sized golf tee.

This afternoon I decided to see what it would take to remove the assembly. Obviously the inside lock plunger would have to come off. I started unsecrewing it when it dawned on me that it wasn't tightened down to begin with. On a hunch I screwed it back in and snugged it up.

And the outside lock now works!

Go figure. Anyway, maybe this will help someone else.

Sorry I can't help you Seumus.
