Question Tropi-Cal antenna question

I have a 2005 National Tropi-Cal. Bought it one year ago and have a question. There is a center of roof above the windshield antenna which is a mystery to me. There is no connection to the dash radio since I did a continuity check to the antenna lead going into the back of the dash radio. I attached one end of my test wire to the outside of the antenna and an ohm meter between that line and the antenna lead going into the back of the dash radio. No luck. I also can not find any other coaxial cable under the dash. The antenna has to be the radio antenna. It is a 32 inch spring based type antenna. What else could it be. I really think this antenna was factory installed seeing the coach body paint covers the caulk around the base. Am I not testing it right or ... If not, where is the dash radion antenna. Maybe some National gurues might know the answers. Thanks!

03 Dolphin LX here--same antenna. I have an XM antenna right in front of it. Does it support your FM function on your DVD set?

Sitting here thinking while reading your entry I chased that wire once when I rebuilt the front for a flat screen and for the life of me cannot remember where it went---that means it was nothing earth shaking. Dash Radio or DVD----is there anything else?
