I have the 2004 Tropi-Cal with the bed crosswise and in the slide. National provided two engine access covers one of which is partially covered by the bed frame. Does anyone know how to get this access cover open? I need to have the valves lashed soon and will want to have everything open and available for the mechanic.

Brian,

I have a 2005 tropical T350, same bed configuration as you. Lift up the bed and look at the right bottom corner (above the access plate), you will see approx six screws on the inside of the wooden frame that need to be removed. the top metal portion of the frame stays in place. Once the screws are removed the right side and bottom portion of the bed frame slides out. The screws take some work to remove but once the corner is removed the inspection plate comes off easy. It's not all that hard but will same Cat time.

Harry,

Thanks for the info. The coach is in storage but I will be bringing it home in a week or so and will check it out.
