Just purchased a 2005 Tropical from a wholesaler. I didn't get a lot of documentation with the coach. There is a electical control panel immediately under the radio on the right side of the dash panel. Has some membrane push buttons and is laid out with left / right corners and a red membrane button on the left center.
Does anyone know what this control panel is for??

Are you able to post a photo of the item in question?

Friends of mine have a 2005 Tropical. Their response - If it's like ours, that's where the Freightliner onboard computer monitor is located. We have documentation for it - can't remember how big the booklet is, but I'm guessing they could also find it online from Freightliner.

To Peach180,
If you have the documentation I could realy use a copy. I tried the Freightliner website to no avail.
Willing to pay cost of copies and mailing.
Duane

Brian,
Many thanks, downloaded the manual today.
Seems like the MDC does not intialize with the ignition so I'll be troubleshooting this system for sure.
If you know any other links that might help, let me know.
Great forum ! ! ! !
D.

Duane, I have not seen much more in the line of documentation. The little display will give fuel mileage oil pressure, voltage trip distance . But no boost. The amount of usable information available on it is poor. It does give some information on engine errors. The older units were also almost impossible to see; I don't remember when they switched to a better display but if you search here on "Replacing the driver info center display" you can get some more information.

Thanks Brian,
I appreciate your help and information. I'll do some history research as you suggested.
Best regards,
Duane
