Does anyone know where I can find the TV cable splitter on my 2006 National Dolphin? I bought a new Pathways X2 and so far I have to run the coax cable from the dish thru a window to the receiver to make it work. I have tried to run the cable from the dish to my campground cable inlet in the storage bay, but no luck. I have to assume that there is a splitter somewhere in the RV that is blocking the signal and power from the receiver to the dish when I plug into the campground cable plug. I know that the cable hookup in the storage bay works fine, as I successfully hooked up to campground cable at two different places this past summer and my two TV's worked fine. Thanks for any help and input.

Do you have a SD dish antenna and HD receivers ?

I have the Pathways X2 satellite dish and the VP 211z receiver.

If your motorhome was pre-wired for satellite, then you'll have a covered grey electrical box on the roof where the satellite coax input cables are located. The campground cable connection is routed directly to your A/V switch box (assuming you have one) and won't work unless you disconnect the cable coax at the A/V switch box and connect it directly to the satellite receiver. You need a dedicated satellite coax run from the satellite to the satellite receiver.

I very strongly suggest you DO NOT re-wire your coach so as to use the park cable for Sat. Rather run, or cause to be run, a length of RG-6, Quality stuff, for the sat connection to a new connector either installed in the side of the RV or in a compartment.

Two reasons.. If parked in some parks Sat TV may not play well. but Park Cable will and that way you won't have to re-wire.

Second: (And most important) the cable on my coach is around 50 feet of dang cheap RG-59 Not what I'd care to use for Sat Reception. And many are like that

Now..where is the "Splitter" (Switch actually).

If you have a box of many buttons (BOMB or Matrix Switch) that is it.

If you do not then on the TV nearest (normally) the Rooftop OTA antenna follow the antenna lead.. often it will lead to a wall plate.. This plate will have a switch, and a LIGHT and a 12 volt outlet.

That's it. the cable connects to the center terminal on the rear.

I recently did something similar to what you want to do. I ran a separate coax cable from the engine bay through the engine cover and up the inside of the plastic cover between the windshield and the pass. side window and then into the SAT IN connection on the back of the selector box. Works perfect!

I think what you did by using the connection for park cable should work also as long as you place the selector box switch in the CABLE position.
